Eternity Costs Something

I am doing something I do not often do.  I am posting an external link to another woman's blog.  She is an Apostolic preacher's wife in the States.  The program she is referring to in her post is a prison ministry program.  It only takes a  few minutes, but I ask that every one who reads this blog on a regular basis to read this post.
It is sobering, and I realize that most people who are not going to agree with the post are people who think they are "okay".  I do not often speak like this, but I want those people to know that no life without God is okay.  It is not an opinion, but a statement of fact.  God has given people opportunities to become close to him.  A life without him ends in desolation and destruction.  If you have comments about the post, feel free to post them on my blog.  There is a reward for those who chose to live their lives as the word of God says to.  There is likewise a reward for those who chose to live their lives the way they want to.  There is no end to the benefits of a walk with God.  Letting go of pride and stubbornness is worth the price of eternity. You can look at the life of an Apostolic and come to a conclusion about that person.  However, what you see in that person, they had to fight for it.  God wants to be close to people yes, but if you do not want to be close to him, he is not going to force it.  Sometimes you need to feel anger, conviction, anything in order to realize where you are really at.  God has incredible mercy on every single person.  It is a tough question to answer, but is it worth sacrificing eternity for your wants and desires?  We may think we know what we want and how to get it, but in all truth, we really do not.  God, the creator of the universe and saviour who knows you the best does have a plan.  However, he allows each and every one of us to make a choice in whether or not to follow the plan he has.  Be strong and let go.
